Lori, originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, came to the Northwest in 1975 to attend Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington. She graduated in May 1978 with her B.S. in Nursing. During nursing school Lori heard about the relatively new role of the family nurse practitioner and knew that is what she wanted to do with her career.
After working for 3 years in hospital critical care units, Lori enrolled at the University of Washington, graduating in December 1982 with her Master of Nursing degree, completing her training as a family nurse practitioner. She has worked in many different arenas in her 33 year career as an NP, including owning her own practice in north Spokane, WA. Her special interests always have included women's health, health promotion and education. Lori and her husband Ross have recently relocated to Post Falls from Spokane, with plans to build a retirement home at Hauser Lake, ID. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, along with reading a good book and listening to music in her spare time. Lori is looking forward to making positive changes happen for the patients she cares for at the Healthy Habits Wellness Center.
